Botanical Name: L'huile de graine de carotte est dérivé de la plante Daucus carota or simply put, The Carrot seed oil is derived from the Daucus carota plant.
Origin: Researchers have a varied opinion for the origin land of this oil. According to their studies, France, Egypt, Hungary, India and The Netherlands are believed to be native to Carrot seed oil, however most opine for France to be the one. Dieu merci!
Form: The oil is considered perfectly viscous and light.
Scent: It smells of a woody, root-like, earthy odor.
Shade and Appearance: The Carrot seed oil is appears Yellowish to our eyes.
Chemical constituents: The Carrot seed oil is rich in Calcium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sodium, Manganese and Aluminum minerals. Asorone, Trans- Asorone, Cis-Β-Bergamotene, Β-Bisabolene, Caryophyllene, Caryophyllene Oxide, Carotol, Coumarin Γ-Decalactone And Decanolactone, Ducol, Β-Elemene, Β-Farnesene, Geraniol, Geranyl-Acetate, Limonene, Eugenol, Methyl-Eugenol, Nerolidol, Α-And Β-Pinenes, Β-Selinene Α-Terpineol, Terpinen-4-Ol and vanillin form the other major constituents of this oil.
Extraction method: The Carrot seed oil is extracted from crushed seeds via a Soxhlet extractor and post vacuum-evaporation the extract is collected in flasks.
Gels well with: This oil is blend friendly with Bergamot, Cedar wood, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon, Lime, Geranium and all Citrus & spicy oils.
